Privacy
Equidine needs to know roughly where you're starting from to find a fair place to meet. Here's exactly what we collect, who sees it, and when it's deleted.
The short version
- No accounts, no ads, no tracking or analytics.
- Your exact starting point is used only to work out travel times. Nobody else in the group sees it.
- Your exact location is deleted within a day of the meetup. Everything else is deleted 30 days after it.
- We never sell your data.
What we collect
Only what you (or the organiser, on your behalf) type into a meetup:
- Your name, as you want the group to see it.
- Where you're starting from: a searched address, your phone's current location (only if you tap “Use my current location” and allow it), or a neighbourhood.
- How you're travelling, and any limits: longest journey, when you can set off, when you must leave.
- Preferences: budget, diet, cuisines, drinks, accessibility and parking needs, and any note you add.
- Your votes, details you confirm about a venue, and whether someone reports a booking.
Who sees what
- People in your meetup see your name, your neighbourhood (for example “Thane West”), how you're travelling, your preferences and your votes. That's how the group plans together.
- Nobody in the group sees your exact address or coordinates, not even the organiser.
- Anyone without the invite link can't see the meetup at all.
- On a first date (date mode), each person sees the other only as a name. Your neighbourhood, budget, diet, drinks, timing, notes and swipes stay private; only places you both said yes to are shown to both of you.
Services that process your data
- Google Maps Platform receives starting points and venue locations to find restaurants and estimate journey times. Google's use is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
- Supabase stores meetup data in a database in Singapore.
- Our hosting provider runs the app and keeps short-lived technical logs.
How long we keep it
- Exact starting points: deleted 24 hours after the meetup (and never kept longer than 30 days).
- Everything else in a meetup: deleted 30 days after the meetup date (2 days after, for a first date).
- Deletion is automatic. You can also remove yourself from a meetup at any time, and the organiser can delete the whole meetup.
Cookies and storage on your device
We use one essential cookie per meetup so your phone stays signed in to that meetup without an account. Your browser also remembers small things locally, like whether you've seen the welcome tour. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
Your choices
- Use a neighbourhood instead of your exact address or location.
- Edit or remove your details at any time from the meetup.
- For anything else (to ask what we hold, correct it or delete it sooner), contact the person who invited you to this Equidine pilot.
Changes
If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and the date at the top before the change applies.
